Insert random apology about not making any posts recently here! With that out of the way,lets continue on. I came across an interesting forum post on the anythingbutipod.com forums. While going through the off topic section I came across a thread that linked to a Huffington Post article about an online petition which asked but and Ernie from sesame street to get married in order to teach children about homosexual tolerance.
While the idea of the two characters tying the knot may seem like a good idea, I beg to differ. At an age when children are learning their ABCs and 123s I feel its an irrelevant topic to teach children. Why should we be teaching preschoolers about homosexual tolerance if they cant grasp the concept of human sexuality in the first place. I think addressing the topic of homosexual tolerance is very important, i dont think we should be teaching such a complex issue to preschoolers.
